ABOUT THIS SPEAKER
Isabella Mumbi Maina is a filmmaker, digital content creator, speaker and trainer based in Kenya. She began her filming career working on feature film productions.
Having worked under various production units she has found her niche as a producer, director & writer with a specialty in documentary filmmaking, feature films, corporate videos and digital content production.
In April she was appointed to serve as jury member documentary pitching category for the 4th Kalasha International Film & TV Market 2021.
In June 2020, she was appointed part of a jury committee to review and shortlist applications (Film Industry Category) for the stimulus package incentive to the creative industry during the period of the COVID-19 pandemic.
She attended GITEX Technology Week Dubai 2020
She served as an advisory board member for Broadcast Film and Music Africa Conference 2014.
In 2012 she participated in the DISCOP FILM MARKET.
She is currently the founder of Dive Productions; a start- up outfit that serves as a continuation of her filmmaking journey with the aim of producing great stories, creating employment and mentorship opportunities in addition to training on digital content creation.
She is a graduate of the Kenya Institute of Mass Communication –Film/Video production. To serve better in her niche, she continues to pursue professional training courses in; screenwriting, cinematography, and digital content creation.
